Cloaking is not White Hat SEO

Cloaking is showing of different page to user than to Google bot. Suppose, if a user comes to a server and asks for a webpage, server responds him with a sort of page having particular content on it. However, when Google bot asks for the same page and server provides the page with different content, this is called Google cloaking.

Matt cutts says "there is no such thing as white hat cloaking".

What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimization or simply SEO is a powerful technique used to rank a website in search engines like Google, Yahoo or Bing for a particular keyword or search. Whenever we enter a keyword (say shoes) inside the search box of a search engine (say Google), a list of sites relevant to the keyword are shown. We tend to visit top sites because we believe that the top searches will be enough to satisfy our requirement. However, it seems really surprising that why some websites are shown at the top positions in search engine than the sites we must know. The answer to this question is SEO. Since, the site for that keyword is highly optimized that's why it is at the top position among the various other sites relevant to the same keyword. The more the site is optimized, the better it will be going to rank in search engine.
